MATERIALS WANTED
Plenary presentations, parallel workshops and panel discussions featuring:
We got 2004 off to a great start with a two-day conference in Dublin, which many regular participants considered to be the best we’ve ever run. On the first day Hitomi Masuhara, Dave Allan and Brian Tomlinson gave plenaries and ran workshops on the theme of materials for testing and on the second day Mike McCarthy, Luke Prodromou and Brian, gave plenaries and ran workshops on the theme of the role of corpora in materials development. The conference was co-sponsored by ACELS, whose ‘Leader’, Jim Ferguson contributed greatly to the organisation and the atmosphere of the Conference, as well as to the presentations on testing on Day One. Over a celebratory pint of Guinness, Jim and Brian agreed that we’d run joint MATSDA/ACELS conferences every two years in Ireland.
